Resumen
Now, applied Didactics directs its attention to the teaching principles of motivation, maturation, organization and practice. In this article the author poses the problems of «reading maturation» and «reading readiness» as a fundament of the teaching of reading in order to avoid the numberless failures in this kind of teaching. Owing to the lack of standard test, he has to show the fittest tests to determine the «reading readiness» after having studied the general problem of maturation and reading maturation. At the end of his article, he includes a series of exercises to develop the reading aptitudes of illiterate pupils. grouped within the usual models of the specialists of reading initiation.
