Achievement Motivation for Learning in Physical Education: An adaptation of the Spanish version of the AMPET test
Abstract
The present study had as main objective to adapt the Spanish version of the Test of Achievement Motivation for Learning in Physical Education (AMPET). This adaptation led to the inclusion of a new dimension that would allow the perceived motor competence to be analyzed from two perspectives, one self-perceived and the second, in comparison to others. Two studies are presented. In the first through the EFA a 4-dimensional factor theoretical structure was explored. The second study was used to confirm the model by an CFA that showed a four factor structure with proper adjustment and reliability coefficients equal to or higher than .70 in each of the dimensions obtained.
