Towards a new concept of moral culture in schools
Abstract
This article represents a contribution on the concept of moral culture in schools, an idea that is not entirely newnor has always been used in the same way. Their existence should be seen in a broader concept, the culture of organizations that aims to deepen the set of beliefs, values and norms shared by its members. Here, we present a theoretical and conceptual approach to the idea of moral culture. First, is a brief summary of the main lines of analysis on the concepts of climate and culture in organizations and its application in educational activities. Secondly, it highlights the contributions of some of the authors who recently have approached this topic fromthe field ofmoral education. Finally, it is proposed the concept of moral culture as system of moral practices.
