History of the Participation in Consultative Councils in Education in Spain and its European Project
Abstract
This article focuses on the history of a sort of social participation that in Spain is now called â??participation of the stakeholders in relation to overall educational planningâ?, carried out by the National Education Council.
This Council is an advisory body which assesses and approves the annual report on the state of education in Spain in order to advise the government. In the last few years, in the same way, there is in the European Union the European Network of Education Councils (EUNEC). It is an organization made of national/regional councils which provides statements concerning the state of affairs in European education policy.
