The social and civic engagement of the spanish university. An historical review
Abstract
This article reviews the concern of a university focalised on the social factor, its influx and projection in real contexts, from an historical perspective. In order to get this aspiration, it offers an historical revision of different authors, initiatives and movements that propose and stimulate these considerations in Spain from the middle of XIX century to the seventies of XX century. The text presents historical manners of understanding the way in which the university students and their teachers, have to accomplish their social respon-sibility.
