Heidegger and the basic values of post-modern education
Abstract
Scholars of post-modern education agree that its driving values are weak and ephemeral. The significant des-cription of this phenomenon has been carried out in the both the sociological and psychological fields and there has been no lack of studies from an historical perspective.
This article tackles the explanation of this phenomenon from a philosophical point of view. What is the concept thas has set off and given support of the vapid educational process of Post-Modernism?. The writting of Heidegger, if we are to go by his reading of Nietzsche, give legitimacy to an educational process unrelated to any strong universal values. Man -Dasein- represents that entity which reveals Bieng through language, disclosing Bieng in its relation to time wich leads on toward death. Looked at in this way, Being is based on the extent that it is Abgrund -an unfathomable abyss. As a result, Being is without meaning. The destiny of all nothing more than to obtain orientation, watever this may be. There exists only passage without any goal. The values which arise under such conditions are endlessly trite, multiple and inconstant.
