Attitudes towards statistics. Incidence of gender and educational background variables
Abstract
This article studies Education students attitudes towards statistics. Once analysed the technical characteristics about the instrument used, the different dimensions are explored, examining the differences up the attitudes concerning both the gender and the educational background of the subjects. On the second hand, the weaker aspects about statistics are identified, as well as the characteristics of the subjects that reached the lower marks. Measures to be adopted and educational methods these would improve the students attitudes towards this matter are also proposed.
