Resumen
The value of educational means has been exaggerated, thus impairing its aims. Christ the Divine Teacher offers Himself as an instrument: «I am the way». He is the means par excellence; but to be one with Him other means have to be used also. Some are of a natural order: instruction, example, rewards and chastisement, and an untiring activity. Others belong to the supernatural order: grace, prayer, the practice of the supernatural virtues; suiting all of them to the pupil. In the employment of His educational means the Master fulfills and goes beyond what is called for to-day; but His eyes are always set on the ultimate purpose, i.e. a supernatural goal which is not opposed to certain natural aims
