Distance training and the challenge of professional competencies

The methodologies called distance learning have been inserted into the traditional classroom so that now all tertiary institutions use a combination of both. The weight of one or the other should be determined by their suitability in achieving professional competences that are intended, warning that the use of technology is transversal to all. ICTs are presented not only as a teaching strategies but as a component of the current professional training, which demand use in performing tasks qualified professionals.
