Leadership and autonomy in educational centres

The paper approaches leadership in the educational institutions, certainly with a Portuguese emphasis, but situated in the appropriate context and founded as a historical construction that runs in a parallel way and at the same time determines and is determined by the schools autonomy and its different meanings. That way, we expose the different school environments where leadership is developed, the headship above all.
