Missions and functions of the university in the european space of higher education

Especially in the present stage of the European Union construction, the questions regarding with the higher education are becoming more and more important. Hence the remarkable interest in the study of a topic which as the need for a common educational university project, needs a definite clarification in order to define exactly the scope of the competences in education matters should be executed by the European Universities.
After this, the question arosen of determining the meaning and the content which the community actions, in this sphere, must be promoted, which a strict respect for the university autonomy and the competences and responsabilities preserved by the states in the higher education.
