Info of the journal
The revista española de pedagogía was created in 1943, within the Institute San José de Calasanz, which was part of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (Spanish National Research Council). From 1995 it was published by the Instituto Europeo de Iniciativas Educativas (European Institute of Educational Initiatives) and since September 2014 it has been published by the International University of La Rioja (UNIR). The journal is published three times a year and has a total of approximately 600 pages.
The printed version is published in Spanish only. On the journal’s website (www.revistadepedagogia.org) are available the texts of the printed version, from the year 2000, that are ordinarily in Spanish, but some of them are in its original English version. From 2017, there is also in the website a translation into English of all the new research articles.
Research articles can be sent to the journal’s address (click here) in Spanish only or in English in accordance with the Instructions for authors (click here). The journal’s editorial board also accepts book reviews, reports on educational events or comments on published articles, also in accordance with what is stated in the Instructions for authors.
All texts sent to the journal are evaluated following the “double blind” criteria. Authors who publish articles are expressing their own ideas under their own sole responsibility.
The print version’s ISSN is 0034-9461. The online version’s is 2174-0909.
Revista española de pedagogía is present in the main Spanish and international databases, as the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Scopus, ERIH Plus, etc. Concretely it was the first journal in Spanish included in the JCR, where the 95 percent of the journals in the section of Education and Educational Research are only in English. Since 2017 (issue number 266), all the articles are published also in English and are available in this website.
