Jordi Planella Ribera

Since 2012 he has been Professor of Theory and History of Education at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He is the director of the Randstad-UOC Foundation Chair on Disability, Employment and Social Innovation. He holds a degree in Philosophy and Educational Sciences (Educational Sciences section, specialising in Systematic Pedagogy). He obtained his doctorate at the Universidad de Barcelona in the Department of Theory and History of Education under the direction of Dr. Conrad Vilanou. He has worked as a lecturer at the Universitat Ramon Llull (1996-2004) and since 2004 he has been a lecturer at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

 

His research and study topics focus on the Philosophy of Difference and Disability, Pedagogy and Anthropology of the Body as well as Social Pedagogy and the processes of social in/exclusion.
