The interest that values currently arouse finds an answer in the
present Spanish education system. If education has to transmit values
to the person it is necessary to know their starting point and to know
to what level they reach the proposed objectives. To make an initial
evaluation and compare it on successive occasions with previous
situations would be a useful indicator as much as to establish the
objectives of education with respect to values as to evaluate the
progress of the pupils in the acquisition of the proposed values. It is
necessary, then, to have the means to discover the values which a
person thinks are important. In the present study we offer the
professionals in education an instrument with which to evaluate the
values produced in agreement with a model of integral education. Pilar M. Casares García

Realizar una evaluación inicial y compararla en sucesivas ocasiones con
situaciones posteriores será un indicador útil tanto para establecer
los objetivos de la educación con respecto a los valores, como para
evaluar el progreso de los alumnos en la adquisición de los valores
propuestos. Es necesario, pues, disponer instrumentos que permitan
averiguar los valores que estima una persona. En el presente trabajo
ofrecemos a los profesionales de la educación un instrumento para la
evaluación de los valores elaborado de acuerdo con un modelo de
