This article analyzes the didactic approach of the Middle Age (XI-XIII Centuries) teaching and learning process. At this time the rational, secular and humanistic aspects of the culture were born. This new emphasis on these elements made possible an important didactic development focused in three important axes: the selection of the information and the problem of objectivity, the forms of how to store and to retain the information, and the effectivity in the transmission and acquisition of knowledge.
